4 Negotiators Types ….!!!

Since we use negotiations very often throughout the day…. i.e. while concluding a business deal, in finalizing a salary package with a candidate in employment interview or even negotiating a price with a salesman etc… it is also very important to know the types of negotiators you are dealing with to plan your negotiation strategy … this is what we are going to highlight in this blog.

1- Submissive Negotiator,

  • Accepts everything, “Ok” is common used word.
  • Very easy going in negotiation.
  • Negotiations process normally are concluded in very short time.
  • Other negotiators like deal with this type.

Confused Negotiator,

  • Fights, rejects and accepts without reasons.

  • Never prepared …

  • Creates a messy situation.

  • Negotiations process normally takes long time.

  • Negotiators are getting frustrated fast with this type

3- Foxy Negotiator,

  • Plays all games & tricks to conclude the deal in his favor.

  • Definitely he is supposed to be the only winner.

  • Negotiations are normally diverted into many directions not related to main topic.

  • Other negotiators get exhausted while resisting his games.

  • Submissive & Confused Negotiators are his favorites.

4- Wise Negotiator,

  • Well prepared.

  • Believes in win-win situations.

  • Accepts & rejects for reasons.

  • Builds trust & confidence with his counterpart.

  • Negotiations may take different stages to be concluded.
